The unique shape of 'Stingray' is similar to 'Monterrey Frost', but with creamy yellow margins instead of white. Tentacle-like, narrow and twisty leaves makes this a very unique look for Agave. Developed by Hans Hansen from A. bracteosa 'Calamar' and introduced through Walters Gardens.
The common name "Century Plant" is alluding to the belief that it takes 100 years to bloom. In reality, Agaves bloom after 15-20 years, and the main crown dies after blooming.
