This species looks very much like a dwarf Alchemilla mollis. Because of its smaller size, it fits better into small spaces and makes a beautiful edging. The leaves of this species are smaller and gray-green. The leaf margins are serrated, looking as if they have been cut with pinking shears.
From late spring thru early summer, frothy sprays of tiny, yellow-green flowers appear above the mounds of foliage. They make long-lasting cut flowers or can be dried for use in future projects.

Alchemilla requires partial shade and average soil moisture to thrive. Though it will grow in full sun and drier soil, the foliage may burn and the plants will be smaller. This species prefers the cool, moist summers of the north, and cannot tolerate the heat of the south. Propagate by seed or division in early spring.
