This is an absolutely beautiful fern. The new fronds are rich burgundy with silver stripes along the veins and at the tips of the pinnae. (Note: This burgundy color takes 2-3 years to develop.) As they mature, the fronds become silvery-green with purple midribs.
This fern maintains its compact form throughout the season, making it an ideal specimen plant for small spaces.
