Campanula 'Viking' PP21021 CPBRAF

Common Name: Bellflower

We are incredibly impressed with this floriferous sterile hybrid because of its compact habit and incredible floridity.  Eggplant purple, torpedo-shaped buds open to large, lilac purple, bell-shaped blossoms measuring 2½ inches long.  The lightly fragrant blossoms are produced at every node up the purplish flower stems for most of the summer.

The basal rosette of serrated, deep green leaves multiplies each year, with new flowering stems arising from each new rosette.  This variety lends itself well to containers or as a filler in the middle of the flower border.

Though 'Viking' is a C. punctata hybrid, it is much more well-behaved and does not spread rapidly by stolens like some punctatas can.
