This new Gaura from Kieft Seed has been making waves in the perennial community, winning awards in both Europe and North America. ‘Sparkle White’ is a first year flowering, naturally compact variety that blooms earlier than the typical Gaura. White flowers bloom on a branched habit with long flower panicles. This is a more uniformly blooming variety. Durable and drought tolerant. The compact size is perfect for combination containers or planting near the front of the border.
Gaura is a native North American wildflower; it is very drought and heat tolerant.

Gaura is native to Texas, and is therefore heat and humidity tolerant. It requires well-drained soils, especially in winter, and full or partial sun. It will flower continuously from late spring into fall if the spent flowers are removed.
Division is rarely necessary but may be done to yield more plants. Dig out small, newer offsets from the edge of the clump. These sections will not yet have formed tap roots if they are young, unlike the main part of the plant. This division may be done in spring or fall.
