Geranium 'Orion'

Common Name: Hardy Geranium, Cranesbill

A European seedling of the well-known 'Brookside', named for the brightest constellation, Orion. This selection produces large, brilliant purple-blue flowers with darker violet veining. It blooms for a longer period of time than 'Brookside', from June through August in Michigan. It is reported to be very heat and humidity tolerant. This perennial is a delight in the fall as it takes on fiery red tones (see picture).

Hardy geraniums are wonderful filler plants for any landscape, either residential or commercial. They blend nicely with most other perennials and offer continuous color throughout the summer months.
