Helleborus 'Peppermint Ruffles'

WINTER THRILLERS™ Series

Common Name: Lenten Rose

How many ways are there to say “gorgeous”?  No matter how you state it, the flowers of ‘Peppermint Ruffles’ are simply extraordinary.

Fully double, large 3” blossoms are a contrasting blend of white and deep magenta pink tones with creamy yellow stamens.  This especially vigorous selection bears 40-60 flowers on mature four year old plants in early through mid-spring.

Like all WINTER THRILLER™ hellebores, these doubles have beautiful dark green, bushy foliage that looks great all year.  This one’s a must-have for spring impulse sales!

Hellebores are the harbingers of spring, blooming for six weeks or more beginning in late winter.  They are often flowering during the Christian season of Lent, from which they get their common name, Lenten Rose.  This is the perfect plant for naturalizing in moist, woodland areas where its extensive root system will spread as far as it is allowed.
