Heucherella 'Brass Lantern' PP22396

Common Name: Foamy Bells

Glowing 5-pointed star-shaped leaves of burnished gold to deep apricot with brick red centers emerge in spring, illuminating shade gardens and containers.  They stand in sharp contrast to the evergreen, deep olive-purple leaves left from the prior winter.

‘Brass Lantern’ is a robust cultivar that forms a large, dense mass of luminescent foliage topped with white bottlebrush flowers on leafy, reddish scapes in late spring.  It exhibits exemplary vigor in the landscape.

Heucherella is a hybrid genus produced from a cross between Heuchera and Tiarella.  Like the first Heucherella villosa hybrid called ‘Alabama Sunrise’, this Heucherella shares the same villosa bloodlines.  This is so important, especially for those in climates with hot, humid summers, because the plants hold up tremendously under such weather.
