Hibiscus 'Blue River II'

Common Name: Rose Mallow

Huge, dinner plate sized flowers sit atop robust, shrub-like plants from mid to late summer. 'Blue River II' is long-blooming. Each successive spring will bring larger flowers. This variety produces pure white flowers with no contrasting eye.

The foliage of 'Blue River II' bears a hint of blue, giving the plant an overall cooling effect, great for those hot summer days in the garden. It's hard to believe this tropical-looking beauty is hardy to zone 4!

'Blue River' is the result of a cross between H. militaris x H. moscheutos and was introduced by Dr. Harold F. Winters. H. militaris was found growing along the Blue River in southern Oklahoma, hence the name.
