Beyond comparison, a carpet of tiny, sky blue flowers with white or light yellow centers is an enchanting sight to behold. This variety tends to have a more dwarf, compact form than the species.

Forget-Me-Nots are biennial flowers. The first year, they will only have foliage and will not bloom. The second year, they will bloom and set seed. If you want to have Forget-Me-Nots in that space the following year, allow the plants to reseed since the original plants will not come back for a third year.

Though it is a relatively short-lived plant, Myosotis will happily self-sow to ensure continued growth from year to year. It is especially happy in rich, moist soils and part shade, where it will spread the quickest. Myosotis has a myriad of uses in the landscape including edging, ground cover, mass planting, flower borders, wildflower meadows, woodland gardens, or on slopes.
