Common Name: Hybrid Phlox
This Hybrid Phlox looks similar to a Tall Garden Phlox, but is shorter and blooms at least three weeks earlier than P. paniculata. It is a terrific perennial for retailers looking for early color on neatly compact plants and gardeners wanting color in the garden earlier in the season.
A profusion of fragrant, bright purple blossoms with white starburst centers are borne in clusters atop the clump of narrow, dark green leaves beginning in early summer. Its naturally shorter, densely branched habit means no staking is required to keep this beauty looking its best through the summer.
