The darkest color of the COLOR SPIRES® Series, with flowers so rich and vibrant, they glow! Indigo blue flowers are held in dark calyxes and are produced on top of a vigorous, bushy mound of foliage. 'Indiglo Girl' is intermediate between S. nemorosa and S. pratensis and has the best of both worlds: large, brightly colored flowers with the excellent foliar canopy. This fabulous variety matches the bloom times as the rest of the series, so you can display all of the colors at once. This will rebloom later in the season if deadheaded.
Salvia is a staple item for every sunny garden. It asks little more than sunshine and a little drink every once in a while in return for producing a bountiful mass of colorful flower spires from late spring into early summer. It forms an upright clump of aromatic, rugose green foliage that looks nice all season long and is not enjoyed by rabbits or deer.
