Stokesia laevis 'Elf' PPAF

Common Name: Stokes' Aster

This dwarf selection is very short and compact for a Stokesia.  It is the smallest variety we offer, measuring in at just 8 inches tall.

From midsummer to early fall, 2-2 ½ inch lavender blue flowers with a lighter, domed center are produced just above the tight mound of foliage.  It is very floriferous and blooms over a long period.

‘Elf’ quickly fills out a 1-gal container and has a long shelf life at retail.

Stokesia is a native North American wildflower. It has been grown for many years for its beautiful flowers and ease of culture. Because of its heat tolerance, it is widely grown in the south. It is a tremendous accent to yellow, pink, or white mums and other late bloomers.
